David Cohen
David Cohen heads The Criminal Defense Division of the law firm, which was started with a prosecutor's knowledge of the criminal justice system and a defense attorney's zeal to protect the accused. Mr. Cohen was born in Brooklyn and attended Boston University’s School of Law. An attorney with over 14 years of experience, Mr. Cohen has represented over one thousand people charged with crimes, ranging from drinking in public to murder. As a former assistant district attorney in Brooklyn, N.Y. and a public defender in New York, N.Y. for over ten years, there is not a crime he has not seen. Mr. Cohen is from Brooklyn, N.Y., where he currently resides and has taught for ten years. He has a history of gaining clients' trust that comes from understanding the communities in which they live.
Cory Forman
Cory Forman heads the Immigration Division of the law firm. Like Cohen, Cory Forman is a former staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society. A native of New York, he attended Hofstra University School of Law. His experience with immigration law began as a public defender, where he gained expertise in the immigration consequences of non-citizens who get caught up in the criminal justice system. He began his partnership with Cohen out of the belief that practicing law is about protecting people, not just serving a legal system. A counselor first and foremost, he is there to make sure you are treated as an individual--not a case--and afforded every protection as you navigate the legal process. Cory Forman serves as a legal consultant to FOX's legal drama, "Canterbury's Law", starring Julianna Margulies.
